St. George’s Parish, is made up of two churches, St. George’s Church in the town of Pungoteague and St. James Church in the town of Accomac, both located on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.

This parish is steeped in the history, tradition and culture of the Eastern Shore which is clearly a part of our church life. Both churches were established prior to the Civil War. A note of interest, both churches were used by troops during the war.

We understand membership is vital to make the parish grow and prosper. By embracing innovative ideas offered by our members, we hope to grow our congregations and continue our community-wide activities. The Dos Santos vegetable garden and our summer concerts are examples of our community outreach.

Our doors and hearts will be open to all who seek to love God and our neighbors as ourselves. We are diverse in our theological and social positions but find that being together in worship and fellowship is an important part of the development of ourselves as well as our parish.

Both churches are seeking a vibrant, effective person to join our parish family as we look to the future for renewed growth and devotion to God’s love.
